At Beckfoot School, we pride ourselves in offering a wide range of extra-curricular activities beyond the curriculum. We encourage all students to engage in these activities to support them in their personal development outside of the classroom.
We are committed to providing as many enrichment activities as possible for our students, and aim to ensure that all enrichment opportunities complement and build upon that offered within the curriculum experience. Students and parents will be regularly informed of the opportunities available.

SPA (Sports and Performing Arts)
We encourage our students to join two of our SPA activities which are held during the school day. Activities include drama, dance, art, music, singing, netball, trampolining, badminton, basketball, gymnastics, football and fitness. Our SPA activities really do offer something for everyone.
Students don’t have to sign up to attend, however they must ensure that the session doesn’t clash with their assembly or PSHCE sessions. Some SPA activities clash with students chance to go to the canteen, we therefore recommend students bring a snack from home on days where they have a SPA activity.
After-School Clubs
We offer a variety of after-school activities and clubs at Beckfoot, these include woodworking, dance, music groups, textiles, cheerleading and wall climbing, as well as various sports clubs such as rugby, badminton, athletics, table tennis, netball and football.
Please note, that once clubs have finished, students are required to leave school through the front reception. Additionally, for safeguarding reasons, we do not allow any spectators to our clubs or fixtures.

Music Tuition
We have a fantastic team of instrumental and vocal staff who offer incredible tuition for our students. These music lessons allow students to explore their musical interests in a supportive, constructive and developmental setting. During lessons students will build their skills on their chosen instrument or voice, developing into fantastic musicians who take part in musical activities both in and out of school.
The students receive 33 lessons a year, these can be either 30 minute individual or 30 minute group lessons (two students per group). To find out more and sign up for this great opportunity, please sign up here: Beckfoot School Instrumental lesson sign up form – To be completed by parent/carer.
